Massive Football Foundation Grant for club : Harvey Johnson - the club is saddened to announce the untimely death of Harvey Johnson - see below :

Harvey Johnson was a committed and enthusiastic volunteer, without whom Cleveland Hall would undoubtedly not be in the position it is now. Harvey acted in various roles including manager, coach and secretary in over 20 years of selfless involvement in promoting junior football. An unassaming individual, Harvey was happy to assist without any thought for personal recognition and all at Cleveland Hall express our most sincere condolences to his family and relatives. Harvey was 57.

Based in the Wrekenton area of Gateshead, England, Cleveland Hall Boys Club has provided soccer for over 10,000 local youngsters since its inception in 1955. The club runs soccer teams from the under 7 age group to under 18 and as well as providing recreational soccer throughout the season it has provided a platform for players such as Steve Stone of Aston Villa and England to launch professional careers. Strictly a non profit organisation, Cleveland Hall is run solely by local volunteers and is always looking to make contacts with other youth soccer organisations . The club also offers a wonderful sponsorship opportunity for potential investors, a chance to associate their name with one of the most famous producers of North East soccer talent.
